VRTGO and VRTGO Labs Innovation Co-ordinater– 12 months fixed term contract, full-time/part-time
VRTGO Labs is a collective of immersive tech companies located across the North East. The network is managed by Secret Sauce who are a specialist consultancy company.
The network is made up of various companies all working on cutting edge immersive technology across different sectors from games and film to manufacturing and healthcare.
The aim is to help grow the businesses through innovation. This role will help members access new business through new contacts and skills.
Secret Sauce is also the founder of VRTGO – an immersive tech conference that runs annually in Gateshead. This project supports VRTGO Labs by giving them a platform to demonstrate their technology and businesses. It also attracts international companies to the region to share their learning and encourage regional collaboration.
The role may also involve working on some games related project too including the new Northern Exposure event.
This is a challenging and exciting role and may suit a good graduate who wants to work in technology. This may also be suitable for a freelancer already working in this space.
The work will involve co-ordinating events, working with immersive tech companies to understand their requirements and businesses. Attending local networking events and national immersive tech events.
This role would be suited to someone with marketing or business development experience who has a strong interest in technology – especially immersive tech and games.
The person should have good written skills and have an interest in pulling together research.
They will need to be a self-starter who can work remotely most of the week.
Great interpersonal skills and confidence – they must be able to attend meetings and represent the project.
An understanding of social media and how to create communities

Updating and cleansing VRTGO Labs Database management
Exciting social media updates across multiple projects
Collecting output information from immersive tech companies
Ensuring websites are updated
Attending immersive tech events in the UK (travel would be paid for)
Researching speakers for events
Collecting speaker information
Attending meetings to represent VRTGO Labs
